Senator Kraayenbrink Bio
Tim Kraayenbrink has represented the constituents of Senate District 5 since 2015. District 5 includes Calhoun, Humboldt, Pocahontas, and Webster counties. In the Iowa Senate, Senator Kraayenbrink serves on the Appropriations, Education, Local Government, Natural Resources and Transportation Senate Committees.

Family
Tim and his wife, Sally, of 37 years, are proud to call Iowa their home. They have raised three children and enjoy two grandchildren- Jacy Jensen, her husband, Tim, and daughter, Avery; Taylor Kraayenbrink, his wife, Ali, and daughter, Parker; and Ben Kraayenbrink. Tim and Sally have also been foster parents for over 10 years and currently reside in Fort Dodge, Iowa.

Experience
Senator Kraayenbrink is a small business owner in Fort Dodge. He has been a financial advisor since 1988 and has owned and operated Kraayenbrink Financial Services since 2007, serving as a business leader in the community.

From 1982-1988, Tim was a teacher and coach in the Northwest Webster School District in Barnum, Iowa.

Background
Tim and Sally are both originally from Paullina, Iowa. After graduating high school in 1978, Tim went on to attend Northern State College in Aberdeen, South Dakota. He attended on a football scholarship and received a Bachelor of Science degree in Secondary Education in 1982.

Involvement
Tim Kraayenbrink has spent his life serving his community through various church and school leadership positions. He supports several civic organizations through his membership. Both Tim and Sally enjoy serving their community and helping make a positive impact in others’ lives.
